Energetic folk for your event

Propabanda East Collective is a five-piece folk band from Warsaw, playing since 2011. Balkan and Gypsy music in modern arrangements - trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, accordion and a live rhythm section that work just as well on an outdoor city-day stage as in a community centre hall.

Our repertoire is energetic folk and dance music - a format that works for audiences of any age: kids, families, seniors. We build sets tailored to the character of the event and the time available.

What it looks like in practice

A programme that fits a busy municipal schedule

City days and community-centre events usually run a packed, multi-part programme - local band performances, children’s competitions, an official segment with municipal officials. Our set fits easily into any slot in that schedule: as a warm-up before the evening’s main attraction, or as a strong, danceable close to the day.

A repertoire for the whole family

Our energetic folk and Balkan sound doesn’t require any familiarity with the genre to enjoy - the pulse of the horn section and accordion works universally, even on an audience that doesn’t normally listen to folk music. That matters at outdoor events, where kids, parents and grandparents are all standing in front of the stage at once.

Can the band play a shorter, free set for residents as part of a bigger festival?

Yes - that’s a typical format for city days. We agree on the set length (usually 45-60 minutes) and its place in the programme together with the organiser when discussing the date.

Proven over the years
