Pięcioosobowa kapela folkowa. Muzyka bałkańska i cygańska w nowoczesnych aranżacjach - energetyczny folk, przy którym nie da się usiedzieć.
The harvest festival is the biggest event of the year in many municipalities - and the one where live music makes the biggest difference. Here is a step-by-step guide for an organiser who does not want the square to empty after the official part.
The ceremonial and official parts have their own rhythm - but right after them the audience needs a clear signal that the party begins. Plan a high-energy concert directly after the official part: that is when the square is fullest and it is easiest to turn spectators into a dancing crowd.
A covered stage, 230V power with extension strips at each position, a sound system matching the rider, and time for load-in and soundcheck before the event - the minimum we described in detail in the outdoor event organiser’s checklist. An experienced band will hand you a ready rider that you simply forward to the sound company.
A harvest festival audience is multi-generational and accidental - the band must be able to stop a passer-by within 30 seconds. Check live recordings, ask about open-air experience and whether the set can be fitted to the schedule (for us: 30 to 90 minutes). More tips in the piece on choosing a band for harvest festivals and city days.
A poster with a photo of the band, an announcement in the municipality’s media, video on social media - the more concretely you show what will happen on stage, the bigger the turnout. Propabanda’s promo materials are ready to download in the media kit, and the open-air offer is on the harvest festivals and outdoor events page.
